There comes a time when you have to just forget the emotional baggage and go back to taking music at face value. That marks the point when you can start redefining yourself. It’s all up to you to make the decision that yes, the past happened and no, it is not going to dictate the rest of your life. Each day is a new start, a new beginning. We’ve all been given the opportunity to start over each time the sun rises. Hopefully we get a little cleverer each day.

I was in a bad mood earlier. You see, this kid at my school was going off about some point that he’d made five minutes earlier and everyone was trying to tell him to stop. Then I pointed out to him that we all knew what he was getting at so he didn’t need to go through it again. His exact response? “This is why you’re a bitch.”

Ouch.

Anyway, I was in an awful mood but then on my way home the sky looked absolutely amazing. I don’t know why, really. It just did. There were big fluffy Toy Story-esque clouds and the sky was the most amazing blue I’ve ever seen.

Once I got home, the newest kitten I’ve attempted to adopt was still alive and mrowling like it was the end of the world. I tried feeding it some (I think she’s a little challenged, she doesn’t suck on the bottle, she tries to eat it). Anyway, my sister just brought over some cat food for it and, the clever little thing that it (she?) is tried to eat the metal can instead of the food. So we attempted spoon-feeding it. It just wanted to eat the spoon. So that was sufficiently adorable and funny that I’m in much better spirits now.
